Question one of the evaluation: How does your media product push the codes and conventions of similar media products?
With the video it goes other the ideas behind some choices with in the trailer along with if i believe that we were successful with the execution behind the ideas. Also goes other some other aspects such as the PoV of the camera and the choies of the 3 different perspectives you will see.
Within this video i discuss both the poster as well as if they sync together and if they go with the trailer in a way that i liked and if i could have improved it anyway.
Question 3 of the evaluation: What did you learn from audience feed back?
In this video i look at what the majority of the audience say all 3 projects as well as if i changed the project massively or minimally to this change. I also go over some ideas that the feedback said to change but why i didn't change.
Question 4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
Sony HD camera
In the construction of the trailer we first used a normal HD camera by sony, At first my group saw this is a limitation. This was because these sort of cameras are low quality usually as well the sound not being the best so to turn this into an advantage we made it a part of the plot in a way that made scene that certain scenes would be low quality. We also were able to film quicker using one of these cameras due to there being to set up time so film a scene would take less time so we could focus more on make up or costumes or even editing. To get round the sound problems there is minimal sound with in the trailer and instead overlap with a song like you would see in more professional trailer this allowed us to also control tension easer.
Final cut pro
Final cut was the most important part of the construction of the trailer it allowed us to cut crop move around sections with ease that made it simpler to construct, it also allowed us to customize the music even more to work around the trailer. A lot of this might not have been possible if we used a harder or simpler program such as iMovie. Also with Final cut it had built in features of filters that allowed us to change what we filmed to give effects such as the zombie PoV that was very pivotal to the overall tone of the trailer.
Imovie
iMovie was used in the making of the evaluation videos as it allowed quick simple cuts as well had built in video recording software, this allowed me to create the evaluation and allow me or time to focus on what i would say rather then editing and cutting also made it so i didn't have to use a separate camera i could use the in built mac webcam.
Photoshop
Photoshop allowed the creation of both the poster, and the 'Empire' magazine. The tools with in photoshop made it the best possible program to create these as it allowed a lot of image manipulation that allowed me to change things such as the blood on the zombie shirt on the magazine the burn tool allowed me to darken it in a more maroon color from what it was this made the affect of blood even more present. Also when it came to the poster the filters allowed what i wanted of a throw back poster as it allowed it to look more 70's-80's zombie film poster. These might not have been what i wanted at first but after seen the affect i loved it and wound't be as good if i hadn't used photoshop. Photoshop also allowed us to make affect tone cards for the trailer that we ported over to final cut pro in the end.
The Internet
We used the internet to do a lot of the research. The first time we used the interent in the project was zoomerang.com a website we set up a survey that allowed us to create a target audience and allowed to make 3 pitches that focused on the target audience. Next we used Slideshare.com this allowed us to make a presentation of the 3 pitches that everyone could see and with it on the interent we could with ease bring it up and show it to people and get direct feedback on the ideas. To upload all the video content we used youtube a popular video sharing site that everyone uses. I also used photobucket to upload all the photo content as well.

A major technical hitch. :(
Due to a problem on my end both my poster and my magazine cover have been corrupted in the usb meaning that i can not place both of them on my blog meaning that my evaluation has been held up. And due to this being the easter holidays the school is closed meaning it impossible for me to place it on the blog at this time.
If you need to contact me about this call the number 07792859572 it is my personal mobile number and will be available though out holidays for you to contact me about this please do so we can sort something out for the mean time.
